Dr Reshmy Krishnan has 29 years of teaching experience and is currently working as Head of Research and Associate Professor at Muscat College, Oman. She was awarded a Post Doctoral fellowship (2013) from the University of Stirling UK after her PhD (2006), ME (2001)( Computer Science& Engg) and BE (1992)( Computer Science& Engg). She completed a teaching and learning fellowship with Higher Education Academy UK in 2019. She serves as a program reviewer with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI) in Oman and as a member of the Board of Directors with the Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education ( QAQHE) with the Ministry of Social affairs. She was the IT academic council member of the Board of Directors (administrative body) Indian Schools( 2017-2021), Sultanate of Oman, a prestigious position and member of advisory boards in various universities in the sultanate of Oman and India. She is the Supervisor for PhD candidates in Indian government universities and a thesis evaluator in various Indian universities.

She was awarded the best national research award in 2014 by the research council Oman. She was honoured with the prestigious 'Woman Icon India Global Award' to acknowledge and recognize contributions to society in education by the Governor of Tamilnadu in 2019, 'The Distinguished Educator and Scholar Award' on 5th September 2020 from the National Foundation for Entrepreneurship (NFED) and 'Distinguished Woman in Engineering Award' for the initiatives and developments in the field of Computer Science and Engineering in 2018. She was the Head of the Computing department till September 2017 at Muscat College and acted as chair of the Industry and community engagement committee ( 2017-2021). She is now serving as Head of the Research Centre.

She has eleven book chapters (springer),13 funded projects and 443 citations in her research profile. She is the author of the book' Computer Programming. She has organized more than 50 conferences/workshops at the national and international levels and acted as a resource person and keynote speaker in more than 60 seminars/ workshops/conferences/faculty development programs at the national and international levels in various Higher Education Institutions. She is a reviewer of international journals and an evaluator of a thesis from Indian universities. She is acting on the Editorial Board of internationally indexed journals.

Dr.Reshmy’ s passion includes community services also. She is a well known public speaker and conducted more than 50 such speeches in Oman and India. She acts as a motivator and life coach as part of service to the society. She has conducted more than fifty workshops and seminars in Oman as part of community services. In majority of Indian schools she was invited as resource person for seminar on different topics such as cybersecurity, career guidance, exam tips, exam stress management for students and parents. She serve as motivator and doing many awareness programs, charity services and counselling services to women for women empowerment. She is the Co-founder of the Global women group ‘wings of women’s world’ (WWW) for women empowerment which has regional groups in twelve countries and 250 members. Dr.Reshmy is running her media production “ Raw and Real” on social media to broadcast educational programs, Interview series and cultural programmes.

She is a classical dancer who does many dance performances. She is a writer, admirer of poems and music.
